This ingredient is derived from the brown fruit of the date palm. It is a strong water-soluble antioxidant with free radical scavenging properties. It functions as a protective UV filter helping prevent harmful cell damage.
As well as high levels of Vitamin C the jackfruit, a species of tree in the fig, mulberry and breadfruit family, contains natural Vitamin A. Vitamin A has high anti-oxidant properties that help protect against wrinkle-causing free radicals. Jackfruit also contains other nutrients with anti-aging properties serving as free-radical blockers to help prevent cell degeneration.
Derived from Lactobacillus. Helps improve skin tone and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation through balance of eumelanin and pheomelanin – two distinct types of melanin pigments we produce.
Licorice helps in the fading of hyperpigmentation and sun damage for all skin tones by blocking melanin formation safely. It can diminish the appearance of dark circles under the eye, discolouration and age spots, leaving the skin brighter, hydrated and clearer.
Lemon Peel Ferment
Lemon is traditionally used to lighten hair and skin colour. During the fermentation process valuable chemicals are extracted from the lemon peel as a natural and effective way to prevent tyrosinase production; enzymes that produce the pigment in melanin.
Do not use if you:
- are allergic to any of the ingredients in any of the products
- have sensitive skin with an abnormal skin condition
- are on a prescription for skin care
- have a history of medical problems such as rosacea, eczema, seborrhea, psoriasis, dermatitis
- have extremely sensitive or hyper-allergic skin
- do not use if you have any open wounds in the areas you will be using this product.
Apply a small amount to the face, neck and décolletage and massage in using gentle upward strokes. For best results add a few drops of water into your serum before applying and then finish off with a moisturiser.
Usage: Twice daily – Morning & Night.
We suggest using all our serums at night only as many of the ingredients can make your skin photosensitive. So it is best not to have them on your skin when in the sun. The truth is, pretty much any product that actually ‘works’, makes your skin photosensitive (meaning more sensitive to the sun). As we say all the way through our Homepeel instructions, USE SPF always. This is the most effective thing you can do for your skin.
- Use at night only
- Tie hair back
- Clean and dry skin as part of your normal routine
- Use your serums in layers
- Apply to skin 3-4 drops of your first serum
- Then the same for the next serum
- Continue until you have used all your serums
- Finish off with Homepeel’s Pure Hyaluronic Acid
- Then apply any creams you may use (like Homepeel’s Peptide Cream)
- If you are using the Retinol Serum – always use this one first
