And today I’m going to quickly show you how to use it.
When you receive it in the mail, you’ll get the Instant Glow Peel bottle. It actually has the active ingredients listed on it. So, we’ve got 5% BHA, 7% AHA, 10% lactic acid, and 5% enzymes. That would have been far more impressive if I could say that from memory—but that’s just not what happens when you’re 53. You can’t remember everything… anything. I can’t even remember what I had for breakfast this morning.
So, when you get yours in the mail, it will come with a different lid. This one here is probably a bit worn because it’s the one I’ve been using at home. When you receive it, it comes with a shipping lid. You take that off, and inside there will be a dropper insert, which this one doesn’t have anymore. Remove that and replace it with this lid.
Why, you ask? Because it can leak in transit, so this just makes it safer.
Alright, so you also get a fan brush. The first thing you want to do is make sure your face is clean and your hair is tied back. Get yourself a small bowl, your fan brush, and your gloves—they come with it, so you can put those on. I don’t have gloves with me right now—they’re downstairs, and I’m not going to go and get them. It’s not absolutely necessary because you’re not touching the peel much with your fingers.
So, the first thing you do is pour about four droppers full into your bowl. I’ll just do that off camera.
See the colour? Isn’t it gorgeous?
It smells like a skin peel.
Alright, done. Here we go.
Take your fan brush—it’s so simple. Basically, start painting it onto your skin. I’m just going to move my little bunny ears up a bit. You don’t need to apply a very thick layer.
So what’s happening now is that this Instant Glow Peel—called “instant” because there’s no downtime—is working on your skin. We do have another peel that has five days of downtime, which means you apply it and your skin peels over five days, shedding the full stratum corneum. That’s downtime. This one is different. This one is instant.
So you apply it, and what’s happening right now is that a whole bunch of dead skin cells sitting on the surface of your skin—almost like a mask—are being loosened.
Here’s how it works: new skin cells are formed deeper in the skin. They’re round and fresh. As they move up toward the surface, they flatten out more and more until they reach the top layer, which is called the stratum corneum. This top layer is made up of tightly compacted, flattened dead skin cells that form a barrier.
Peels like this one loosen the bonds that hold those dead skin cells together so they can be gently removed. So you’re only removing skin that is already dead, revealing fresh skin underneath.
To remove the full stratum corneum, you would use a deeper peel, like our Green Herb Skin Peel.
Let this sit for about five minutes to allow everything to loosen. You may feel a slight tingle. Ideally, you won’t experience any post-peel shedding with this one, as mentioned.
You’ll also get a few gauze pads in the pack. Have some water handy—mine’s over here. I do this at home, so no professional studio setup here.
Leave it on longer than I have, but for demonstration purposes, let’s continue.
Before I remove it, one more thing: not only does this give you that instant glow with no downtime, but by removing the stratum corneum—the dead skin cells—you’re allowing your other skincare products to work more effectively. Otherwise, they just sit on top of that layer and don’t penetrate properly.
I often speak to customers through our complimentary skincare coach service, and many people think they have dry skin. But instead of recommending more moisturiser, I look at their routine. Most of the time, the issue isn’t a lack of moisture—it’s the buildup of dead skin cells blocking absorption. No matter how much moisturiser you use, it won’t work if it’s just sitting on dead skin.
So now, to remove it, use the gauze and wipe firmly. See how I’m applying pressure? That’s because I’m removing those loosened dead skin cells. My skin is quite red—don’t go too hard—but apply firm, controlled pressure to lift away those dense, dead cells.
This reveals fresh, glowing skin underneath. Your skincare will work better, and your skin will look amazing. I often do this before an event.
After this, I jump into the shower and use our exfoliating crystals with one of my cleansers. The one I have here is the Replenishing Milky Cleanser, which is amazing.
We have two types of cleansers. Use a couple of pumps, then in the shower, add the exfoliating crystals to gently polish off any remaining residue. These crystals are a fine powder blend with ingredients like vitamin C and lactic acid. They act as your exfoliator, which we usually recommend using twice a week.
So after your peel: cleanse, add the exfoliating crystals, polish your skin, then rinse, moisturise, and you’re done.
If you’re doing this at night, a great option is to apply nothing afterward except our tallow. The Instant Glow Peel and the tallow work beautifully together.
And that’s it—it’s very simple. Enjoy, and use it every two weeks.
Have a great day.
