Got a problem with blackheads? Ever tried using Clag Glue??

  • Paint over the problem area with CLAG (kids craft glue)
  • Let it dry
  • Peel it off
  • Works better than any blackhead cleansing strip AND for a fraction of the cost!

November Fav Product

I’ve been meaning to post this up for a while, but I simply can’t believe the magic of a micro fibre face washer!

Not only is it the best and easiest way to wash your face over a sink without getting water everywhere.

But it is simply the BEST exfoliator I’ve ever used (aside from Flakey Skin Remover of course…)

You can get them anywhere and they are so cheap. I got mine from the chemist

November Beauty question

Q – Can you please let me know how to get rid of my blackheads – they drive me crazy!

A – There are very few people on this planet who don’t have blackheads to contend with. Some people have more extreme cases than others – but most of us are victims.
Blackheads are caused by clogged pores. Pimples as well are caused by clogged pores – but the blackhead is not inflamed. Keeping it exfoliated is a good start – I don’t know how severe the problem is for you, but maybe start off by using a microfiber face cloth (like what I posted about today) and use a cleanser that has 2 % salicylic acid.

Salicylic acid is a BHA (Beta Hydroxyls Acid) and the reason it is great to treat blackheads and pimples is that it is oil soluble. This means it can cut through sebum (skins natural oil) and get directly into your pores to clean them out.

Obviously I suggest you use our Flakey Skin Remover as this is why we created it – I leave mine in the shower and use it 3 times per week.

If you have a larger budget – you will put the problems of blackheads to rest forever by embracing the below religiously

  • One microdermabrasion per month
  • Speak to your doctor about using Retin A or Stevia. These are high powered Vitamin A products (Retinol) that work great but have very significant side effects. This is why you can only get it from a doctor
  • Regular Skin Peels

I have heard that using a Clarisonic (Google it) to wash your face works amazingly. I have never tried it myself so if you have; please let us know

November Skin Peel Tip

During the 5 day post skin peel, keep your skin dry and use Calamine lotion during the day. This will dry out your skin and encourage it flake off quicker.
