Different stages of skin peeling

Welcome to the February Homepeel Newsletter. Our intention is to always keep them short, sweet but very informative. At the moment we are just learning and putting up things we find during the month that we LOVE.

As we go along, I’m sure we will add more sections or take some out. We would love your feedback to help us create the newsletter of your dreams!

‘Flawless skin is not just for the rich and famous’

February Beauty Tip

Dry Brushing – Is it really the miracle it’s made out to be? I’ve heard so many things about dry brushing and I just can’t ignore it anymore.

Dry brushing is the process of taking a dry brush and brushing your dry skin toward the heart. You do this before each shower for a minute. It has been said to:

• Removes cellulite
• Cleanses the lymphatic system
• Removes dead skin layers
• Strengthens the immune system
• Stimulates the hormone and oil-producing glands
• Tightens the skin preventing premature aging
• Tones the muscles
• Stimulates circulation
• Improves the function of the nervous system
• Helps digestion

February Weight loss tip

Sugar has been proven to make you look older (I KNEW IT!!) A recently study was done comparing a person’s blood sugar levels and how that person’s skin looks.

In 100% of cases; people who had LOW blood sugar were thought to look younger than their years (anonymous survey).

So eat less sugar. Keep your blood sugar levels low. Plus you’ll be thinner!  WIN WIN

February Beauty question

Q – Can you please give me some ideas on how I can get rid of the dark circles under my eyes?

A – The cause of dark circles under the eyes is a real misconception. It’s often thought that the darkness of the skin can be treated simply with fading and whitening creams.

In most cases, the truth is that the darkness is caused by tiny blood vessels under the skin that you can subtly see. Giving the illusion that the skin is dark but in reality, it’s what’s UNDER the skin that is making it seem like the skin is darkened. This can happen because the skin is very thin under the eye.

What to do

  • Vitamin C helps to strengthen blood vessel walls.
  • Wear sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 30 under the eyes to prevent skin weakening caused by sun damage.
  • Reduce your salt intake.
  • Apply vitamin K cream as it is found that vitamin K may help with bruising.
  • Grape seed extract and pycnogenol contain antioxidant pigments that may help to strengthen blood vessels. (Speak to your doctor first if you are on blood thinning medication)
  • Eat kidney-balancing foods. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, a bluish cast under the eyes are due to an imbalance in kidney energy.

February Skin Peel Tip

Q – Can you please give me some pointers on how I can get my Green Herb Skin peel to peel more intensely?

A – Keep skin dry as possible over the 5 day peeling process. For BEST results. Don’t wash or wet your face over the entire period. Try not to sweat or perspire.

  •  If possible, use Marine Nourishing Cream only on the new skin when you see it. But if the dryness is unbearable for you – use it as much as you require.
  • If you do want to wash your face and wear make-up during the 5 days period. Please use the PH Balancing wash provided in your kit as your cleanser
  •  If you feel you suffer from hyper-pigmentation use a melanin inhibitor cream for 2 weeks before you do the peel.

When you wash it off, it’s best to do it in the shower and let the COLD water run over your face until the pain stops. If you can’t do the shower, at least use COLD water. The washing off part hurts so you will want to do it as quick as you can. That why the shower is good.

February Face Peel Success Story

Normally we put up a testimonial here, but instead I decided this month’s success story is Homepeel’s release of its new product the ‘Fortnightly Fruit Peel’

It was developed in response to many requests for a peel that required NO down time. Something that gives INSTANT results. The Fortnightly Fruit Skin Peel’ is a light face peel that gives an instant GLOW
