8 STEPS to the perfect summer skin – do more than just a skin peel

How would you like to walk around this summer with no make-up on and feel confident?

Have the sun shine its bright light directly onto your complexion and you wanting to show it off! NO MORE HIDING

  • Drink 2 litres of water per day – Skin wont shine if its not hydrated from the inside
  • Make a green smoothie each morning. To have great skin, your digestion must be working well and the best way to do this is to start off everyday with a green smoothie (see further down the page for more information on green smoothies)
  • Use sunscreen all the time. Especially if you are a skin peeler. Skin peels are great as they keep the upper dead layer of skin away that makes your complexion dull and leathery. But skin peels reduce your protection from the sun. SPF is a MUST!
  • Never go to bed with makeup on. Wash your skin every night. Use a microfiber wash cloth as it is a great exfoliator. I get mine from the supermarket for 2 dollars and I LOVE them
  • Moisturize well. You don’t need to spend a fortune on moisturizers. I’m currently using BIO Oil which I’m LOVING. Its perfect for winter as the heater dries my skin out. I was afraid for a long time to use a oil as I thought it would make me shiny. But its a dry oil and its really is DRY. Its amazing
  • Optional last step – use a brightening serum (see further down the page for more information on which serum for you. Or I can send you a recipe to make a home made brightening serum from the Green Herb Lotion included in the Green Herb Skin Peel kit)

Green Smoothies

I have a green smoothie every morning and mostly it depends on what I have in the fridge. But the base I always use is to add one lemon (peeled), a knob of ginger and some fresh mint (I don’t always have the mint) But the combination of those 3 things along with things that are sweet gives a great ‘tangy’ flavour.

So along with the above I add greens (spinach, kale, lettuce)

With fruit (apples, oranges, berries, pineapple, watermelon)

If the fruit I have is not really that sweet, I add a few dates (seed taken out) Dates are a great natural source of sweetness and fibre.

Things to add that are great for nutrition:

  • Cucumber
  • Beetroot

Powders are great to use if you want an extra boost

  • Acai
  • Spirulina
  • Macca

Coconut water is a great addition.

If it’s too thick, I add any juice I  happen to have in the fridge.

I get lots of ideas from the Vitamix Facebook page (Vitamix is the best investment you can EVA make!)

This is a recipe for the original Famous Green smoothie (I love Kimberly Synder

Homepeel Brightening Serum

  • One teaspoon of organic coconut oil – solid
  • 10 drops of Homepeel’s Green Herb Lotion
  • Heat coconut oil so that it goes to a liquid
  • Add the 10 drops of Homepeel’s Green Herb Lotion
  • Stir well
  • Put straight into a freezer so it goes solid
  • Take out as soon as solid (don’t leave to freeze)
  • Mix it up again so its soft , but still a solid. Make sure it is WELL mixed
  • Place it in a sterile jar or small container with a lid
  • Don’t do more than 1 teaspoon at a time – fresh is best
  • Put on after cleansing at night
  • You can put all your usual on top
  • If you use this serum – it’s important to have regular GOOD exfoliation going on otherwise your skin might get congested
