Skin care for sensitive skin:

People who have sensitive skin have to be more careful while caring for their skin. They have to practice extra caution while buying cosmetic and skin care products and in their skin care regimen, as sensitive skin can get affected by chemicals or environmental conditions very easily. Another factor that matters is how sensitive is a person’s skin – levels of sensitivity might differ from person to person. One person might get a mild reaction from a product, while another might have a full-blown allergy. If you know how sensitive your skin is, you can go ahead with sensitive skin care.

Natural sensitive skin care:

You can care for your sensitive skin by using natural skin care products. Generally, natural ingredients minimize the risk of flare-ups and allergies. However, if you are allergic to certain natural ingredients, we suggest you avoid those and use only products that will be beneficial for your skin. So, if you want a face pack or a facial, ask the therapist to use natural ingredients; look for cosmetics and skin care products with natural ingredients; and, use simple home remedies to pamper your skin.

Hydration and food intake: You must pay attention to what you eat. Wrong foods can cause a lot of grief to people with sensitive skin. A healthy diet that is rich in vegetables and fruits can do a world of good for the skin. Also, eat a balanced diet so that that skin remains healthy and glowing. Drink a lot of water to flush out the toxins and keep the body as well as the skin, hydrated.

Herbal remedies for dry sensitive skin care: Herbal remedies and skin care products are any day better than chemicals. Herbal products generally contain natural products. You can try a few of these herbal remedies for treating your skin.

• You might like to use jojoba oil or almond oil to cleanse your face and moisturize it.

• For exfoliating your skin, mix oatmeal and grapefruit. Natural and healthy, this will help you scrub off dry skin cells and dirt.

• Next time you visit a beauty salon, ask them to make a face pack with fresh fruits. Then, you won’t have to worry about chemicals that could harm your skin.

• At home, you can make a face pack with yogurt and cucumber.

• Fresh aloe vera gel is also good for sensitive skin.
